Quality management
Quality management is a natural part in the concept of Danotherm. Quality management is incorporated in a way that the most important part of quality management is built on self-control. Each single resistor is measured and controlled before dispatch. The coating is also checked for errors. The entire control process is incorporated at every step in the production to ensure the highest level of quality.
RoHS compliancy
The RoHS directive is short for "Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment". This directive bans the placing of hazardous products on the EU market. This being electrical and electronic equipment containing higher than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants. It is designed to protect human life as well as nature and wildlife.
Danotherm has studied the RoHS directive 2002/95/EC in detail, including the Annex pos.7 and the Commission decision of 18 August 2005 Article 1.
We have checked with all the suppliers of raw materials for our resistors to make sure, that these are fully aware of the requirements in the above mentioned documents.
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Certificate of Compliance
UL is the trusted source across the globe for product compliance. Benefiting a range of customers - from manufacturers and retailers to consumers and regulating bodies - UL have tested products for public safety for more than a century.
Almost the whole range of resistors from the Alpha series are approved to UL 508 (E208678). Please consult Danotherm for further information.
Qplus - Quality Managament System
Danotherm operates under a quality management system certified by OTIS to comply with the level 3 requirements of the quality program QPLUS for supplier evaluation. This qualification is the base for a partnership cooperation and for achieving excellent product quality. QPLUS “Commitment to excellence” is a quality management system, used by the United Technologies companies Carrier, Sikorsky and OTIS.
Both the structure and focus of QPLUS is similar to the ISO 9001:2000 standard. Our QMS system is written in accordance with ISO 9001 and supplemented with the extra requirements of the QPLUS system and other customer requirements. The system is continuously updated to assure that we improve the effectiveness of our quality management system and the value-adding activities.
In our production we focus on a process approach and verification of the quality status throughout the production plus traceability of the products. This is also imposed on suppliers who work on our behalf to satisfy the needs of our customers.
